Hi:

I've started poking around your forums after getting a lovely message from one of your recruiters. I'm in the process of looking for a guild with an RP focus to make my TOR experience more fun.

I've been Rping for 7 years and enjoy guilds that are heavy rp and stick to lore as much as possible.

I was wondering if you'll be continuing the mission Rps after launch?

Don't know for sure, that would have to be up to Bege, but my guess is we more likely will continue doing the RP missions.

Mission rps will continue as we are a Station and do have orders from the powers that be. Each mission will be different though some of them in game while others will be forum based. I know for the Enclave the missions for the initiates will be done in the forums besides special cases. On the other hand the combat lessons will be done in game, as they are done in our live chat section right now. Once the game is up and running the Enclave is going to have missions that are going to be organized so that we can better build a community within the station.

Indeed, the answer is of course a yes. The only change from forum to game is that guild roleplay will be turned into events that will have notices prior to it atcually happening. We plan on holding all sorts of roleplay events from just running special made up missions we came up with, following the game's story in groups, or maybe out in battle playing with the PvP system. Also all the classes and academies you see now will all become live once the game comes out. (Depending on housing) We plan to have buildings for every division, so classes would be held, obviously in the game in the respective division area which keeps things more fresh than on the forums. I'm glad you'll be continuing such things since I like the idea of RP activities to keep a guild interacting.

I've been a big supporter of regular get togethers for guild members to interact as I saw it work very well in SWG and when I tried soemting similiar in FFXI it worked very well with a healthy guild population.

Also what is your stance at the moment on characters of alien races since we aren't really sure of what races will be available. I ask since when I saw artwork featuring Togruta I thought I'd like to play one but I can see they haven't been confirmed as a playable race. I've been reluctant to create a character on a race that I may not be able to actually play ig.

Suddenly changing races and pretending that she was always that to begin with seems a little odd.

I infact have seen screenshots showing Togruta in the game. Now whether these are player characters or NPCs, I do not know. But I think a Togruta would be an awesome addition to the guild. Would love to see more races, actually.

Sadly its anyone's guess with what other races will be coming out. We do know a few but they are your pretty basic races. You can give it a shot with whatever race you want (that makes sense) and see the outcome because sometimes you do have to change. And what you said is not uncommon, so if a change is needed unless you are the one who doesnt feel right about it...it does not matter to much. Here at Gamma you can choose whatever race you want in the game, we dont have the Empire no aliens policy heh. But for now if you are afraid of that just try and stick with a race that has been released so far.

However, I do believe this topic would have been better suited for the "Station Discussion" area. I'm unsure if you can see that area or not.
